Who uses water bottles other than Nalgene? Do you know anyone? Please have them contact me or better yet – post the bottle products you/they like right here for everyone’s benefit!
It’s now been 23 business days since I first contacted Nalgene at their Web site – to ask for expert advice regarding their bottle products that I own – that have now been determined to contain bad stuff that’s not good for me. And not good for you either.
I know, I know – call ‘em on the phone you’re saying. They have a toll-free number for crying out loud.
Thanks for the encouragement – I’ll call them eventually. Based on the way they manage their Web site my heart’s not racing thinking about talking to a call center agent in some foreign country trying to speak English so I can understand even a little bit of what they’re saying to me. Do ya feel me?
The point right now is Nalgene has provided a way for their customers and potential customers to contact them on their Web site that…DOESN’T WORK. It’s either BUSTED or they just DON’T CARE.
I have sent another inquiry via their site on Monday, the 9th and have still heard nothing. I know…that’s the definition of insanity. Just trying to see if maybe the first time was a fluke.
So, this is about SNOOZING and LOSING. If you don’t want anyone to contact you via a form you provide at your Web site – take the cotton pickin’ form down. If the tool you provide is broken…FIX IT.
If the only way you will respond to your customers is via the telephone – then only provide a telephone number. Seriously, is this rocket science?
It’s called managing expectations where I come from. How about you?
Sorry, but this is just another case, based on what I see, of a company that couldn’t care less about a little customer that has questions and would like to know if the products they already gave the company their money for………are safe to continue using.
What is so hard about this? Am I being unreasonable?

Mr. Zwetsch.
My goal in responding to your post is to soothe your concerns. But I fear I may only inflame them.
Managing expectations: One must understand that the first thing Nalgene could do was to announce they have rectified the problem by reengineering their product. I assure you their lack of response to your inquiry is a symbol of their troubled marketing machine.
Although marketed as rectifying the problem, I assure you that the reengineered product holds many if not all of the alarming properties of their original product.
Many unwary consumers have flocked to alternative containers for their beverages however only exposing themselves to new hazards. For example, stainless steel products activated by heat and cold extremes reveals that they are as safe as eating the chipped paint from a 1930’s home. As I said of glass or porcelain products, it may expose the user to formaldehyde levels of a pickled high school frog.
These and many other atrocities are being delivered to the consuming public daily. Its individuals like you and I that hold the only hope to inform the public of these issues. I have spent countless hours working to disseminate this information and need your help.
At every opportunity please warn your friends and family of these problems. If you have any ideas on how to propagate this information on a national level please share that with me and anyone else you can think of.
The health of our country is dependant on people like you

Dr. Sinclair,
Thanks for your comments…
What are the alternatives if you/we want to carry water or another beverage in a sturdy, re-usable container? Is there “anything” out there that won’t harm us?
